Hello all you voiceover geeks out there, present company included, and I hope you are all too busy working to read this posting! If you’re not then at least you can fill your time watching other people work and probably work a lot more than you.
The above link will take you to MSNBC.com where you can watch a Today Show segment about four VERY successful voice over talents. Joe Cipriano (see my blogroll for a link to Joe’s site), Mark Elliot, Don LaFontaine, and George DelHoyo. Joe works as a promo voice talent for NBC & FOX, Mark is, and has been for as long as I’ve been alive, the voice of Disney, Don is just that, the “Don” of voiceover trailers and promos, and George who works on HBO and does a lot of trailer work as well.
This video will give inspiration to voiceover talent who are on their way up and also may convince a few newbies to throw their hat in the ring once you get a look at Joe’s house in Beverly Hills! It is true, you can make a lot of money in this business, but only a handful make the “millions” quoted in this segment. These four are definitly amongst that elite group and will go down in the voiceover hall of fame. Once it’s built, which I’m sure will be any day now.
