The Tony Nominations - “August: Osage County” Scores Big

I’ve been following “August: Osage County” since becoming a fan after seeing the play. Good news for all those involved because the Tony Awards were announced and the play scored SEVEN nominations including Best Play, Best Director, and two for Best Actress in a Play. Both Amy Morton and Deanna Dunagan were nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play. This could be both good and bad since the votes will be split and neither could win when it’s clear to me that both should win.

We’ll see on June 15th when the Tony’s air on CBS at 8/7c hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.
