About

A journalist and producer living in Jerusalem.

Joshua Swanson's work sits at the intersection of faith, media, history, and business, reporting from the ground in Israel and producing stories that travel the world.

Marriage

The love of his life, and partner on the journey.

Joshua and Rachael Joy have been married for 24 years. She is the love of his life, his closest collaborator, and the reason their shared story keeps expanding.

Together they love to travel, create, and build things that matter. Rachael is a ministry leader who founded New Hope Children, and she has been Joshua's partner every step of the way, from founding companies to moving their lives to Israel.

Rachael recently graduated with a Master's degree in Archaeology from Hebrew University, the very calling that first brought the two of them to Israel. Her work in the land's ancient layers has become part of their shared calling in Jerusalem.

Biography

Reporting, building, and telling stories.

A journalist by training, a producer by craft, an entrepreneur by experience, and a storyteller by calling.

Joshua Swanson is a Producer and Reporter for CBN News, currently stationed in Jerusalem, where he covers stories at the intersection of faith, culture, and global events. From the ancient corridors of the Old City to the front lines of regional change, his reporting connects biblical history to the headlines of today.

Before CBN, Joshua served as Partner and Editor-in-Chief of Worship Leader magazine. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2000 with the launch of his first business, which still operates today. He has since built ventures across entertainment, technology, and hospitality consulting, co-founded and led GTMA for a decade, and consulted for companies such as Lettuce Entertain You, Sondors eBike, and The Hollis Company. His companies have appeared on the Inc. 5000 list three times, and in December 2019 he sold Razz Interactive, a self-funded startup, to ResMan.

Joshua's on-camera work has appeared on networks including ABC, NBC, Lifetime, and Hallmark, and he has partnered with major brands such as Sprint, Pepsi, Corona, Pokémon Go, the Latin Grammys, and the Billboard Awards. As a voice actor, he has narrated more than 100 audiobooks and was twice named Best YA Voice.

Joshua's proudest achievement is his marriage to Rachael Joy. Today, he tells stories that inspire deeper faith and global awareness, while traveling the world and enjoying time with Rachael and their dog Eden whenever possible.
